Betty Matthews serves as President and Executive Director of the Miss Teen Princess Louisiana Program. She works closely with the Program’s Board of Directors to lead and manage all organizational operations including finance, administration, security and production. Betty Matthews brings more than 20 years of pageant management experience to her position. She joined the Miss Teen Princess Program in 1999 as an assistant to the judges chairman. Mrs. Matthews was promoted to the position of Teen Princess Louisiana President in 2006. Prior to joining the Miss Teen Princess Louisiana Program, Mrs. Matthews served as executive Director of the Miss Red Bud Scholarship Program which was a preliminary to the Miss America Pageant. Mrs. Matthews worked at AEP/SWPCO - from 1966 and retired in 1998. From 1994 -1998 Mrs. Matthews served as a Vivian City Council Member and presently serves as Service Provider for WW Poll Commissioner. Mrs. Matthews' volunteer work consists of Northwest La. Scenic By-Way Committee, Historical Society of North Caddo-Officer, Vivian Chamber of Commerce-Treasurer, Vivian Chamber of Commerce-Pres. 6 years, Vivian Economic Development Corporation-Officer, Zoning Variance Board Chairperson, Certified Pageant Judge/Auditor (La/TX/AR) Mrs. Matthews is a graduate of North Caddo High School, and has taken various computer classes, home study courses and pageant seminars. Charlotte Geter was elected Vice President of the Miss Teen Princess Louisiana Program last October. Charlotte Geter has joined the Miss Teen Princess Louisiana Program as the acting Judges Chair. A resident of Ruston, Louisiana Charlotte attended Louisiana Tech University where she is employed as Administrative Coordinator in the Office of Disability Services. Charlotte is a graduate of Oma’s Modeling Agency and models professionally, both print and commercials. In addition to judging pageants in Louisiana, Charlotte has judged in Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, Washington, Missouri, and Oklahoma. As a part of the Miss Louisiana delegation, Charlotte annually attends the Miss America Pageant. For 12 years, Charlotte served as the Executive Director for themes Louisiana Tech University Pageant. She has also served as Judges Chair and Vice President for the Miss Teen Louisiana-America Program and as a Field Director for the Miss Louisiana Program. Charlotte has one son, Keith Geter. Ann Harmon was elected the Secretary/Treasurer of the Teen Princess Louisiana Program last October and has joined the Miss Teen Princess Program as the acting Web Designer as well as Program Chair. Harmon has been in the hair industry all over the United States and Great Britain for over 40 years and held positions in Salon Management for Regis Inc., J.C. Penney's , Bentwaters England AFB Exchange Salon and Dillard's Salon Assistant Manager. She has also worked for Gino Marino Enterprises and was responsible for managing and being the regional manager and a business trouble-shooter for the Fort Worth to San Angela region in Texas. She was educated at the University of Texas in Arlington and owned and operated a boutique and hair salon. Ann retired from the business world and became more involved in her community with underprivileged children and handicapped children. Harmon has been involved with the Teen Louisiana Princess Program since its inception which was operated with the Teen Louisiana America Program until this year and held positions such as program chair, booking manager, traveling companion and webmaster. She has been an Executive Director in both the Miss Louisiana Scholarship Organization and the Miss Texas Scholarship Organization and held the position as a District Director for the Teen Texas Program for one year. As a local director of both Miss Holiday in Dixie and Miss Bossier City, Ann has won the local in-kind scholarship award for the past thirteen years at the Miss Louisiana Pageant. Harmon is a Miss Louisiana Golden Patron and annually attends the Miss America Pageant and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant. Ann has judged pageants in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Tennessee and numerous other state and national pageants. She had the honor to judge and be chief judge at the Miss North Carolina Pageant of June 2006. Ann was educated at UTA and owned a boutique and hair salon in Shreveport. Jon Ferguson is the former Executive Director of the Miss Greater Baton Rouge Scholarship Pageant. He became a volunteer in the Miss America Program in 1985, and also served a the Miss Louisiana State Liaison for a umber of years. Jon was on the founding board of directors for the Miss Teen Louisiana America Pageant and served as producer for three years. Jon is employed with Frontier Airlines and lives in Denver, Colorado. He is a Miss Louisiana Golden Patron and annually attends the Miss America Pageant. Jon is an avid believer in community service and founded the quality of life award for the Miss Teen Louisiana Pageant in 1994 which continued for the years of his service to the Teen Louisiana Pageant. Shelly Price Ticket Sales Chair
Shelly Price is a graduate of Northwestern State University and is employed as a Laboratory Scientist at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She has been involved in pageantry for many years, having competed in the Miss Louisiana Teen USA Pageant and having placed as a runner-up in the Junior Miss Pageant. Shelly has served as a volunteer and judge for numerous local pageants.
Her daughter, Rebecca, was a runner-up to Miss Louisiana’s Outstanding Teen, Mary Jane Hobgood. Shelly enjoys reading and sewing in her spare time and loves designing and making evening gowns, dresses, and swim suits. She is also active in community theater productions. Shelly and her husband, Rick, live in Bossier City with their three very active children, two dogs, and one cat. |
